Step-by-Step Guide to Scheduling a Virtual Estate Planning Consultation

Planning for the future is not a simple task, and navigating the estate planning process can be overwhelming, especially during stressful times like these. Many individuals are unsure about which estate planning documents they need, and may not know where or how to begin the process.

At the Law Offices of Elsa W. Smith, we know that every situation is unique, and your particular set of circumstances impacts the documents that will form your estate plan. That is why we strive to personalize the estate planning process from the moment you contact our office. We value all of our potential new clients, and have designed our scheduling process to ensure that we have as much knowledge about your unique situation  before you meet with us.

To feel more confident and prepared to address your estate planning needs, follow this step-by-step guide to scheduling a virtual consultation with our office:

Step 1*

The scheduling process usually begins with your initial call to our office, where we will ask you to describe your matter and estate planning goals.

Step 2*

If we believe that we are able to assist you, we will then provide you with available dates for your 1-hour virtual consultation.

Step 3

Once a date has been selected, we will obtain your contact information and your communication preferences.

Step 4

After the call, you will receive a secure payment link via email once the consultation date and time have been approved with our office, and once we have completed a conflict check.

Step 5

Once we have received confirmation of payment, you will receive a brief online questionnaire via email. The purpose of the questionnaire is for us to familiarize ourselves with your matter ahead of time in order to ensurebusiness a productive consultation.

*Please note that payment and the completed questionnaire must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation. If both items are not received at least 24 hours prior, the consultation must be rescheduled.

Step 6

You will receive a confirmation email with the consult video link and meeting information once we have received payment and the completed questionnaire.

Step 7

Finally, you will receive a courtesy call from our office the day before your scheduled consultation to confirm that you have received the video link and meeting information, and to address any of your last-minute questions or concerns.

*Scheduling Via Our Website:

You can also start the scheduling process online via our website.  This is great for those who need to reach us outside of normal business hours or would rather use the online scheduler. Steps 3 through 7 would remain the same. Here’s a brief video that describes the process.

We look forward to hearing from you.
